Online Reputation Management in Canada
Online reputation management in Canada for individuals, executives and businesses whose name brings up a negative news story, an old article, a court record or a review they cannot get taken down. We remove negative news and articles where a publisher, host or court will allow it, pursue court-ordered removal and Google de-indexing with our legal partners, and bury what cannot be removed under credible results. Honest odds first, a quote in Canadian dollars, and nothing starts until you approve it.

Tell us the name to check. A specialist reviews what Google.ca shows for it, records every damaging result, and sends you a private report with honest odds for each one.

Canada At A Glance
The facts that shape every Canadian engagement: when we are available, how we quote, where we look and which legal routes exist.
- Time zones
- Atlantic to Pacific, covered by your specialist's working day, by email, WhatsApp and video call.
- Currency
- Quotes in Canadian or US dollars, itemised per result, approved by you before any work starts.
- Where we look
- Google.ca, where most Canadian searches for a name happen, plus the platforms that rank for it.
- Right to be forgotten
- Contested. De-indexing requests under PIPEDA are argued case by case, so we treat them as one route among several.
- Defamation
- Provincial common law outside Quebec, civil law inside it; court orders obtained with our legal partners go to Google and the hosts.
- Typical cases
- Google reviews for professionals and clinics, negative news, forum threads, court records and name removal from search.
What We Remove For Clients In Canada
Six problems bring Canadians to us. Each has its own removal route, its own legal angle and its own honest odds, and each card opens the full service page.
Negative News Removal
A story on a national or regional news site, or a local outlet, that still ranks for your name years after the event. We approach the newsroom under its unpublishing policy, correct the record where it is wrong, and suppress what stays.
Negative news removal →Negative Article Removal
Blogs, opinion pieces, listicles and the aggregator copies that repeat a story after the original has been corrected. We work through hosts, authors and Google's own removal routes to get the copies down too.
Article removal →Court-Ordered Removal
Where content is defamatory and the publisher will not act, our legal partners in Canada can seek a judgment or order. We then submit it to Google and the hosts, who de-index or remove the pages that the order covers.
Court-ordered de-indexing →Mugshot, Arrest And Court Record Removal
Canada has far fewer mugshot sites than the United States, but court reports, charge sheets quoted in the press and tribunal decisions still surface for a name. We handle withdrawn charges, acquittals and old matters case by case.
Court record removal →Remove My Name From Google Search
When several results together tell the wrong story about you, we remove the ones that qualify, de-index what Google's policies cover, and build the profiles and pages that take over the first page for your name.
Personal reputation management →Review Platform Removal
Fake, defamatory or policy-breaking reviews on Google, Glassdoor, Trustpilot, Indeed, Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Reported under each platform's own rules, with the evidence that gets a review taken down.
Review removal hub →How An Engagement Works From Canada
Four stages, the same for a Toronto executive, a Vancouver clinic or a Calgary business owner. Nothing is promised before the assessment shows what is realistic.
Confidential assessment
You send us the name or the links. We record every damaging result on Google.ca, who publishes it, where it is hosted and which removal route applies to each one.
Honest odds and a quote
You get a private report: what can be removed, what can only be de-indexed, what will need suppression, and a quote in Canadian dollars or US dollars. No payment for the assessment.
Approval and the work
Only after you approve the quote and we both sign the NDA does the work begin: publisher requests, platform reports, Google submissions and, where needed, our legal partners in your province.
Monitoring and reporting
Results change as pages come down and new ones appear. We keep watching your name, report progress at each stage and act on anything new before it settles on page one.
Why People Ask Us For Online Reputation Management In Canada
Most people who ask us for online reputation management in Canada are not trying to hide a career of wrongdoing. They are a professional whose name appears next to a charge that was later withdrawn, a business owner tied to a supplier dispute settled years ago, an executive whose departure was reported in a way that still follows them, or a private individual named in a court decision or a local news item. In every case the first page of Google for their name is decided by a handful of pages they do not control.
Online Reputation Manage is an independent reputation management firm, established 2017, headquartered in Delhi and working remotely with clients in 20+ countries, Canada among the largest. We have no office in Canada, claim no local staff and are not a law firm. What we have is a documented process for negative news removal, article removal, court-ordered de-indexing and name cleanup on Google, legal partners in Canada for the cases that need one, and working hours that cover Canadian time zones from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
Defamation In Canada And What It Means For Removal
Defamation in Canada is mostly a matter of provincial law. In the common law provinces and territories, a statement that would lower a person's reputation in the eyes of a reasonable reader is presumed to be damaging, and the publisher has to establish a defence such as truth, fair comment or responsible communication on a matter of public interest. Quebec works under its civil law system instead, where defamation is treated as a civil fault and the claimant has to show the fault, the injury and the link between them. Limitation periods and notice requirements vary by province, and the notice rules for news publishers can be short, so the first conversation with our legal partners is always about dates.
This matters for removal because a Canadian publisher will rarely take a page down just because it is unflattering. They will take it down, correct it or de-index it when it is false, breaks a court order, exposes private information, or when a judgment says so. Our job is to work out which applies to each page and pursue the strongest route first. We never give legal advice ourselves; where a case needs a lawyer, it goes to our legal partners in your province.
Can Google Be Ordered To De-Index Content In Canada?
Yes, and Canada is one of the few countries where that has been tested at the highest level. In Google v. Equustek, decided in 2017, the Supreme Court of Canada upheld an injunction that required Google to de-index a defendant's websites from its search results worldwide, not just on Google.ca. The case was a commercial dispute rather than defamation, but it established that Canadian courts can direct Google itself, not only the publisher, when an order is needed to stop ongoing harm.
Separately, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada has taken the view that the federal privacy law, PIPEDA, applies to Google's search engine and that Canadians can, in some circumstances, ask to have search results about them de-indexed where the information is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or causes harm out of proportion to any public interest. This is not a general right to be forgotten and it has been contested, so we treat it as one route among several rather than a guarantee. Alongside it sit Google's own removal policies, which cover doxxing, explicit images, financial and medical details, and sites that charge to remove content. Our guide to the seven options for removing a news article from Google explains how these routes fit together.
Negative News Removal At Canadian Outlets
Most Canadian newsrooms have an unpublishing policy, and most of them say no by default. The exceptions are the ones we work with: a factual error, a charge that was withdrawn or ended in an acquittal, a story that identifies a victim or a minor, a safety risk, or a matter so old and minor that the outlet agrees it no longer serves the public interest. The request has to go to the right editor with the court documents or evidence the policy asks for. Where a newsroom will not remove a story, many will update it, add a note about the outcome, remove a name from the headline, or add a no-index tag so it stops appearing for your name in search. Each of those is a real result, and we tell you which one is realistic before you spend anything. The full approach is on our negative news removal page.
Court Records, Charges And The Canadian Mugshot Question
Canada does not have the United States' mugshot industry. Police forces here do not routinely publish booking photographs, so the pay-to-remove mugshot sites that plague Americans are rare for Canadians. What Canadians do face is the public record: court decisions on legal databases, tribunal rulings, bankruptcy and securities notices, and news coverage of a charge that never became a conviction. Legal databases generally limit search engine indexing of their decisions, so the problem is usually the news story quoting the charge, not the decision itself. For withdrawn charges, discharges, acquittals and record suspensions we approach the outlets with the outcome documents; for the rest, we build the suppression that moves the result off the first page.
When Removal Is Not Possible: Suppression
Some content is true, lawful and staying up: a conviction, a regulatory decision, a public court judgment. For those we do not promise what we cannot deliver. We build and rank the assets that should represent you instead: a personal or company website, professional profiles, interviews, press and the content Canadians searching your name actually want to read, until these hold the positions the negative results had. Our negative search result removal and personal reputation management services cover this in detail, and our online reputation management services hub shows how removal, suppression and monitoring fit together.
Who We Help In Canada
The same process serves very different people. These are the clients who come to us most often from Canada.
Executives And Professionals
Lawyers, physicians, financial advisers, real estate agents and company directors in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and Ottawa whose name is checked before every deal, referral or board appointment. Regulatory notices, old disputes and reported departures are the usual problems.
Personal reputation management →Private Individuals
People named in a court decision, a local news story, a forum thread or a doxxing post, including charges that were withdrawn and matters that ended years ago. We handle these with care, under NDA, and never make the request itself a public event.
Remove my name from Google →Businesses And Brands
Canadian companies dealing with a damaging article, a complaint-site thread, an aggregator that repeats a corrected story, or a run of fake reviews across Google, Glassdoor and the Better Business Bureau. Removal where it qualifies, suppression and review generation where it does not.
Brand reputation management →Working With A Reputation Firm Outside Canada
We work with Canadian clients remotely, and have since 2017. Here is what that looks like in practice, so there are no surprises.
Hours That Cover Your Time Zone
Your specialist is available during Canadian business hours, Eastern to Pacific, by email, WhatsApp and video call. Nothing waits for the morning in Delhi.
NDA And Confidentiality First
Every engagement is covered by a non-disclosure agreement before any work starts. Your name, your links and the fact that you hired us stay private.
Legal Partners In Canada
We are not a law firm. Where a case needs a demand letter, a court order or a privacy complaint, it goes to our legal partners in your province, and you know the cost before you agree.
Quotes In Canadian Dollars
Your assessment and quote are itemised per result and priced in Canadian or US dollars. You approve it before anything begins, and there is no payment for the assessment itself.
No Local Office, No Local Mark-Up
We do not claim a Canadian office or staff. The platforms, publishers and Google processes we work with are global, so your case is handled by the same specialists who handle every other country.
One Team Across Platforms
News sites, Google, review platforms and hosts each have their own route. One specialist runs all of them for your case, reports progress at every stage and keeps monitoring after the work is done.
